On-Ice
Our On-Ice instructors include Brad Bowen, Andy Nielsen, and Graham Fast, and a few YHA alumni. All of our instructors have had high experience either as player or coaches and are well known in the community for their expertise of elite skill development and Kineisology training.
The Yale Hockey Academy operates from September 1st to May 31st. We engage in approx. 85 on-ice sessions that are 1.25 hours in length.
Off-Ice
The off-ice program focuses primarily on core training, and plyometrics during in-season competition; however, during the off-season, our athletes begin their off-season training program which consists more of weight training and hypertrophic development.
We train out of the new ARC facility alongside registered trainers who are all certified under the BCRPA.
Training Groups
The Yale Hockey Academy has two programs. "BLUE" group will be made up of primarily of elite Bantam AAA's, Midget AAA players, Major Midget players, B.C.J.H.L. and W.H.L players. Group allocations are made in May of the previous school year and may change in the fall based on group availability, class composition, etc. Our "WHITE" group consists of rep players (AAA, B1 and B2) as well as some House league players
Program Cost
Cost for the program is $1965 for the year. This can be financed by pre-authorized payments. We do offer a discounted price for those students who play in the BC Major Midget League. Furthermore, we offer a sibling discount for players who have brothers and sisters in either the Yale Hockey Academy or the Fraser Falcons Middle School Hockey program.
